The Cricket Ground Map website was created by Rob Clarkson, founder of the popular footballgroundmap.com.
The original football website was created back in 2008 and has allowed over 150,000 fans to log the grounds they have visited from a database of over 25,000 football stadiums.
Rob is also a keen cricket fan (born and raised on the Yorkshire/Derbyshire border), so the creation of a new cricket ground mapping website seemed like a natural progression.
Rob was a keen cricketer back in his teenage years, spending many Sunday afternoons fielding in and around the Yorkshire area.
The website has a total of 97 users. There are currently 899 grounds on the system from 936 different teams from 82 leagues in 16 countries around the world.
